Stuffed Shells

Ingredients:

PASTA & SAUCE:

-1 (12oz) box of Jumbo Pasta Shells (Cook until its still a little firm 7 min)

-1 (16oz) Hot Italian Sausage or mild

-1 jar of your favorite tomato sauce

-1/2 Green Bell Pepper (diced)

-1/4 Onion (diced)

-2-3 Garlic Cloves (minced)

-handful of dried or fresh basil


SHELL STUFFING:

-1/2 cup of dried Basil or fresh

-1 egg

-1 (32oz) container of Ricotta Cheese

-1 1/2 cup of Italian Cheese Blend

-1 cup of Parmesan cheese

Season with Garlic Salt and Black Pepper


Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  1. In a pot add water and season with salt and a bit of vegetable oil. Bring up to a boil and (cook pasta until its a little firm but bendable). Strain and set aside.

  2. In a pan add a bit of vegetable oil and on med/high add in sausage and start browning sauté with bell pepper, onion and garlic. Cook until sausage is cooked through.

  3. Add in your favorite tomato sauce and season with basil, black pepper and garlic salt. Let simmer for a couple of minutes.

  4. In a small bowl add in everything for the stuffing and mix together.

  5. In a baking dish add a bit of your meat sauce to the bottom of the pan in order for the shells not to stick. Stuff your shells with the stuffing mixture and line face down in your baking dish. Add rest of your sauce and add some extra Italian blend cheese on top and bake in the oven for 20-25 min.
