Saucy Meatballs

Ingredients:

-1 box of pasta (whatever your favorite is) Cook as directed.

-1 package of Spicy or Mild Sausage links

-1 bottle of Prego Sauce

-3/4 cup of Panko Italian bread crumbs

-Handful of dried or fresh basil

-1 egg

-4-5 garlic cloves (minced)

-1/2 onion (diced)

-1/2 bell pepper (diced)

Seasoning: garlic powder, pepper and salt


Directions:

1. Boil water with salt and add pasta until tender.

2. Open sausage links and take casings off and put in bowl.

3. In bowl combine sausage, bread crumbs, egg, 3 garlic cloves, and season with garlic powder, pepper, salt and dried basil or fresh (mix with hands until all combined)

4. In a non stick pan add vegetable oil and put on high.

5. Form small meatballs and add to hot pan in order to get a good browning on both sides. (once you turn the meatballs turn down to medium heat and add lid for them to finish cooking)

6. Once meatballs or cooked take out and put aside (take out excess oil) and add in onion, bell pepper and 1 or 2 garlic cloves minced. Sauté a bit and then add Prego sauce and fresh or dried basil. Bring to boil and add meatballs to sauce and let simmer for 5-10 min.

7. Eat over pasta and with a salad or cheesy bread on the side!
