Lemon Dill Puffed Salmon

Ingredients:

-Fresh or frozen salmon filets (as many as you need)

-1 Lemon (1/2 of lemon juice) (1 whole lemon zest)

-1 (.5 oz) pack of fresh Dill

-1 block of cream cheese (8oz)

-1 Serrano Chile (diced) (take out seeds if you don't want as spicy)

-1/4 white onion (thinly sliced)

-1 box of Puff Pastry (put in fridge so it can thaw out but still be cold)

-1 egg (whisk until combined)


Seasoning: Garlic Salt and Lemon Pepper


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

  2. In mixing bowl combine cream cheese, diced serrano chile, white onion, fresh dill, lemon zest, lemon juice mix together and season with garlic salt and lemon pepper.

  3. On a cookie sheet spray with cooking oil.

  4. Cut puff pastry in squares in order to be able to cover the salmon pieces.

  5. Cover each salmon piece with cream cheese mixture and set on puff pastry square. Cover salmon entirely with puff pastry and use a fork to pinch all sides.

  6. Line cookie sheet with puff pastry pockets and brush on egg mixture on top.

  7. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 min or until golden brown!
